I just ate a whole plate of Crack Chicken and I feel pretty amazing. Or as RDub would say, I could whip my weight in wild cats! What you are looking at folks in Peruvian style Charcoal roasted rotisserie chicken, or Pollos A La Brasa. The best damn chicken I have ever had. There are a few of these around DC and many others that are similar but not quite as good. The chicken comes with a sauce that they are very stingy with. I am convinced that it has a bit of crack in it; and is damn addictive.

Go grab yourself some right now if you haven't tried it. Makes the Colonel’s chicken taste like a McNugget.
And speaking of chicken…I need o vent a bit! The Hillbilly Haven is located in the middle of a good area of restaurants and bars. It used to be rather shady, but over the years has become a really nice neighborhood. The one exception to the nice businesses being the Popeye’s chicken that is very close to the house. I have eaten there only a hand full of times and every time I regret it because this Popeye's in particular is a rather crappy and shady establishment. I think maybe they never change the greese or something so the chicken tastes funny. It is dirty and the staff is lazy. My latest trip there was greeted by a half crazy girl running the counter with three others who spoke mainly Spanish helping with the counter and cooking. One of the workers, a guy, was sitting on a box in the middle of the food prep area eating a sandwich. The other guy, who was running the fryer, at his leisure I might add, would grab a fry every so often off the rack and eat it. No gloves. That place just sucks. And guess what, after I sat there for about 15 minutes waiting, just as I had expected, my chicken sucked too.

Beaner Dean, I thought I tried to tell you that this Popeyes sucked. I tried it once and that was one too many times. I say we start raising our own chickens (I got some connections in Moorefield that can hook us up) and do it up proper.
