Drunk Food. For me it is not so much quality as accessibility these days. When I am drunk and wondering around my neighborhood in DC; depending on how late it is there are usually only three choices. If it is before 2 AM you have the Boli's Jumbo Slice, China Wall, or the 7-11. If it is Dawn and the sun is coming up over the Anacostia River, you only have 7-11. You make you way down there sometime running the gauntlet of crazies, and panhandlers; and if the place is not currently being robbed you will have some choices to make. I walk right past the Taquitos, Big Bites, and Meat Patties. I learned my lesson a long time ago about anything that is warmed up at Seven Eleven. Its just not worth it. I usually walk out with an assortment of snack cakes and or Doughnuts, maybe a ham and cheese from the deli case, and as much Gatorade as i can carry.

My Favorite Drunk munchy from the past, back in my undergraduate days, is probably DiCarlos Pizza. Just off of National Road in Elm Grove, just outside of Wheeling, WV. A little Pizza Shack that you order pizza by the square. The Crust is downright Crunchy and is cooked in an oven with only the sauce. Toppings consist of cheese, pepperoni and yellow pepper rings, all put on after the pizza comes out of the oven. The first time i tried this pizza I was hated it, I was of course sober. But the first time I tried it after tying one on, I was back in line waiting for it at 3 AM once a week. Good Stuff.

What was your all's favorite drunk Munchy?

Oh and check this out, the top college drunk foods of March Madness. I can't believe that they listed some polish sausage sandwhich as the number one of Pittsburg. The writier obviously didn't do any research. Anyone that knows anything about Pittsburgh knows that the number one drunk food in that town is the Primanti Brothers Sandwich.
