I love Pollo a la Brassa. Affectionately referred to as Crack Chicken by many of the Capitol Hillbillies.

Recently Anthony Bordain did a Washington DC episode where he stopped off at this crack chicken joint. El Pollo Rico Now personally I am a Crisp and Juicy man. I love their chicken, I love their sauce, I f'n love the fried Yucca. Hell I don't even mind the fuck off attitude I get from the person behind the counter. Anthony was told that El Pollo Rico is the best Peruvian style chicken around the DC Metro Area. Sorry, but I have to disagree. How can any self respecting Peruvian Chicken joint serve chicken without any damned fried yucca, is beyond me. Just seems wrong to me. I am willing to admit I have not yet tried the best Peruvian chicken this world has to offer though, so I am going on a mission. I am going to try out and report back here on as many crack chicken joints that I can find. There are about 20 - 30 from what I have seen. I may even cap it all off with some chicken and roast guinea pig reports from Peru as I am traveling there this summer. So stay tuned.
